Why I Chose Panglao Island

The reason I chose to visit Panglao is because it’s a smaller island that connects to Bohol, which was my main reason for visiting this region of the Philippines. Bohol offers many intriguing attractions such as the fascinating Tarsier Primates and the majestic Chocolate Hills. Panglao island was the perfect place to spend some downtime before visiting Bohol, as it offered even more beaches, along with a small town feel. Getting to Bohol from Panglao was a simple morning drive and was easily arranged as part of my highly affordable day tour.

My day at the Bluewater Resort was the calm before the storm as I geared up for a big tour of Bohol including visiting the Tarsiers, taking in the Chocolate Hills, meeting some wild forest monkeys, going zip lining, and even visiting a butterfly sanctuary.

As I mention in my Top 10 Things To Do In The Philippines video, staying at a luxury resort is a wonderful thing to consider anywhere in the Philippines. Luxury is much more affordable in most parts of southeast Asia and a few nights at a resort like the Bluewater is much more affordable than in the United States or similar parts of Europe.

As you’ll see in the Bluewater Bliss video, this resort provided for a full day of fun just exploring it’s various pools, gardens, beaches, activity area, and restaurant.

I also had the BEST time filming here because it was such a quiet, peaceful place and I could finally focus on some filming techniques that take more focus and dedication.
