The Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina was the perfect place to spend a few weeks in late August last summer- diving into the wilderness life along the Tennessee border.
This video tells the story of visiting my parents in their summertime RV Park, and allowing them to show me the beautiful views along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We check out some waterfall and rock sliding activities in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and I get a good idea of what I might want to get into next summer.

We were at the Creekwood Farm RV Park, which felt like a top notch RV living experience. They offer fully equipped camping spots for RVs and tents, as well as log cabins available for rent. The facilities are super well maintained and the bath facilities featured individual private units with everything you need. I loved that!
North Carolina is SO hot right now.
I had been sitting on this North Carolina footage for several months, along with what will be Part II of this adventure- my wildlife quest to Cataloochee Valley. I visited my parents in North Carolina immediately after coming back from Europe last year, so I had tons of great content to edit and can see how this temporarily slipped through the cracks. Nevertheless, I thought it was definitely time to get it published before I dive into my recent footage from the Muir Woods in Northern California.
I’m also glad to say I’ve made many technical video advancements since then, as this video involved testing out some new gear (links below) Enjoy!
