Visiting the Guinness Storehouse is one of the best things to do in Ireland!

That’s why it’s the #1 tourist attraction in Dublin, and present on the bucket list of many travelers, including myself- prior to this trip at least.

The Guinness Storehouse is an elaborate structure near the heart of Dublin, with 7 floors dedicated to helping you experience all that Guinness has to offer. In this video we explore the Arthur Guinness Gallery, an exhibition of transportation, the Guinness Tasting Room, the exciting World of Advertising, the Guinness Academy and finally the top floor Gravity Bar to enjoy a perfect pint of Guinness overlooking all of Dublin.

While my Guinness Storehouse travel video won’t spoil every surprise at this top Ireland tourist destination, it will give you a healthy taste of what the Guinness Storehouse is like, and help you plan your own Dublin travel adventures.

While the most fun is always in the travel video, here are some practical tips on visiting the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin.

Visiting The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin

First, be aware that although it is in the same location, the Guinness Storehouse is not exactly the same as the St. James Gate Brewery, which is the actual Guinness brewery. While you won’t see beer being brewed live like some brewery tours, you will see, hear, taste, smell and learn everything else there is to know about Guinness.

First, you will meet the most ultimate Guinness photo opportunities outside of and around the brewery. There are several Guinness signs against which you can either lean and smile, or if you’re me, just do handstands.

The Guinness Storehouse is open every day from 9:30am – 5pm and up until 6pm in July and August. Tickets to the storehouse are 18 euro online, or about $22 USD. Definitely buy your Guinness Storehouse tickets online. As you can see in the video using them to enter was a fast and fun process.

In addition to the world famous Gravity Bar there are a few other bars, restaurants and small cafes (where we grabbed our coffee) throughout the storehouse. Be warned that you won’t be able to get your first taste of Guinness until you get to the tasting room, so if you’ve just arrived in Ireland and you’re craving your first pint before visiting the storehouse, just stop into one of the many brilliant Dublin pubs beforehand.

The World of Advertising floor was definitely packed with the most creative fun. Here you can play the new and improved Guinness digital harp, as well as view the original one that inspired the age old branding.

It’s also a fun look back into the well loved vintage ads developed by Guinness over the years.

After you’ve graduated from this level, you’ll head up to the Guinness Academy where you’ll learn how to create the perfect pour. This delicious Guinness is included with the price of admission and you’re encouraged to take it up to the Gravity Bar on floor 7 to enjoy it along with views of Dublin and The St. James Gate Brewery.

Here is our Guinness Academy Professor, James, showing us the most professional pour straight from the source.
